This dragon medallion is made in sterling silver. It’s design came to me many years ago as I wanted to make one for my nephew. I finally got around to it and I like how it came out. The dragon is a happy one, old and wise too. It’s all satin finished with a darkened background.
Dragons are ancient mythical serpents that have been around for a long time. They can mean different things to different people and cultures. Some see these creatures as devilish and chaotic that even blow fire from their mouths. In other cultures it’s more of a sign of power, strength and wisdom. When I lived in Lao P.D.R. for a few years I remember a time when I saw along with many others something pop up in the distant Mekong river. Many were excited and were saying that it was a dragon that lives in the river. As I’m not from there I have my doubts and do not believe it was a dragon, but it must have been awesome for those whom believe it. These dragons don’t have wings and are like my design in that it’s more serpent like. For those that love dragons this one symbolizes the power, strength and wisdom that we can use to keep us growing as people and overcoming difficult challenges in our lives. Wear this with pride as you remember who you are and what you can become.
